'AS GROWTH EBBS, BRAZIL POWERS UP ITS BULLDOZERS' by Simon Romero, New York Times 21.6.12 - a definite analysis of where Dilma leads Brazil away from both "green" strangulation as well as
some effects of the global economic slow-down.

Daniel: What the new chap and his associates say on TV is one thing, what the "permanent foreign policy community" (Quai d'Orsay) follows as France's  "long range" de
facto policy in South America - is another.  Thus far, "official France" is not noticeable in South America as aiding the geopolitically subversive NGOs of the U.S., Brit, Netherlands,
Germany (Vatican) and some Scandinavians - WHICH EXECUTE THE GEOPOLITICAL AIMS OF THE U.S. and Britain.  The Hollande government may yield to some pressure by its "green"
friends - but whether the Quai d'Orsay will allow any muscular involvement of France's "greens" in South America - is yet to be seen.  The ABIN list did not include one single of France's
NGOs and in the politically alert media - no complaints have been surfacing about France's role in Brazil, nor has France's diplomatic crowd been noticed courting the green opposition against
national development policies. The German ambassador, as example is the primary pusher on behalf of the U.S. and NATO to "court" the green opposition, because he has to follow the orders which
the U.S. Embassy gives to Germany's government. Obviously Germany's industry is a major beneficiary of Brazil's national development - but Germany is still "occupied" (also geopolitically!) by
the U.S. - and Germany's diplomats in South America have to get out in front and execute U.S. plans. The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (CDU) in Brazil has the special mission to push for acceptance of
NATO "partnership". See "Forte Copacabana Conference" - of 2010 and 2011 in the site of Fundacao Konrad Adenauer/Rio. (They even brought in somebody from the U.S. Marine Corps
University...)

Hello Janz ,

you're right when you dissociate the "permanent foreign policy community" (Quai d'Orsay) from our political leaders . But one must remember that the team which is governing France since a few
weeks has globalist historical roots : It was Mitterrand and Rocard who proposed to José Sarney the internatinalization of Amazonia .  the socialists - SFIO - were since the 40's the
most Atlanticists in France and fought against De Gaullle on this issue . And as you saw , Hollande folded in front of BHO on the issue of the ballistic defense .shield ..The " globalist -
liberal - green " lobby is powerful in France , especially among the " Green-Rose " political groups . Abraços  Daniel BESSON

All in all, France seems the least "interventionist" of the NATO"Partners" in South America: The NGOs of the U.S., Britain and Netherlands, and the Roman Catholic Church (via Germany+Austria) are
the primary agents throughout South America - to stem the trend against "independent" economic and geopolitical development.  Offical France knows that it has to refrain from geopolitical
interventionism in South America - or Guyane will eventually become  isolated and unsustainable. France has also unique interests in major infrastructure project in South America. In the
case of Brasil, the tacit collaboration between the military of Brazil and France - may increase the shift towards choice of the Rafale as primary jetfighter.  Thus, the NGOs of France are
not seen in South America as part of the "Anglo+plus" geopolitical interventionism and subversion.  In Brazil, fortunately the left and the right, are absolutely united on "independent
development" and "independent geopolitical role": Aldo Rebelo and Gelio Fregapani write the same opinions about the indigenous matters, the agro-industry, the new forest law, the need to combat
the "foreign NGOs.  "Portal Vermelho" publishes the releases from "belomonteblog" - and "belomonteblog" publishes the fact that "Portal Vermelho" has published the releases.  That is
why after Rio+20, a politically united Brazil will gradually roll back some of the interventionism of the "foreign" NGOs like Greenpeace and WWF. Dilma Rousseff told the "Greens" in Brazil
already a couple of weeks ago: ANYBODY WHO BELIEVES THAT BRAZIL WILL NOT BUILD MORE HYDRO-ELECTRIC-DAMS IN THE AMAZON REGION LIVES IN A FANTASY-WORLD!

Dear Jan ,

When you write " Offical France knows that it has to refrain from geopolitical interventionism in South America " you are a bit misguided ! Here is the official position of the former French gvt
( Juppé + Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet ) which was totally endorsed by the new social-democrat , aka " Green-Rose gvt " , gvt of JM Ayrault and President Hollande : "Vers une nouvelle gouvernance
mondiale de l’environnement " (Towards a new global governance of the environment" ) http://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/fr/enjeux-internationaux/environnement-et-developpement/changement-climatique-2496/sommet-rio-20/article/rio-20-vers-une-nouvelle

It 's totally in the line of this article which calls for an " international court on environmental issues " which means de facto a " responsability to protect " to give force to the
court rulings , may be under a new " article VII " , in environemental issues ! ...http://www.latribune.fr/opinions/tribunes/20120619trib000704644-20-vers-une-nouvelle-gouvernance-mondiale-du-developpement-durable-.html

As every country which sells military technology , France ( French political chiefs ) hopes to have a certain degree of leverage on the country to which it sells weapons !

Abraços
